How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Trust > Trust End of Month > View Previous Trust EOMs.

Purpose: Provides users with access to previously generated Trust End of Month (EOM) reports, including both General and Account EOM reports.

The General/Account EOM procedure must be completed for a given period before the relevant EOM reports become available via "View Previous Trust EOMs". Refer to this article for instructions on how to run the EOM procedure.

Accessing Previous Trust EOM Reports:

General tab: Select the relevant Year to access previous General Trust EOM reports, including:

Report Name	Report Purpose	Report Basis
Trust File Maintenance - Audit Trail	Tracks matter changes, including client, matter, and card actions, with detailed before-and-after snapshots to support internal audits and compliance reviews.	Date Range
Separate Interest Bearing Accounts Listing of Accounts	Provides a list of Separate Interest-Bearing Accounts as of a specified date, with balances calculated based on either the transaction date or entry date.	As At Date

Account tab: Select the relevant Year and trust bank account to access previous Account Trust EOM reports, including:

Report Name	Report Purpose	Report Basis
Trust Overdrawn Report	Lists transactions that resulted in a negative trust balance on a matter at any point within the specified period, including the transaction type, reference number, matter information, and resulting balance.	Date Range
Trust Trial Balance Report	Lists trust ledger account balances by matter as of a specified date for a selected trust bank Account, with options to include matters based on balance or transaction history.	As At Date
Trust Accounts Journal Report	Lists all trust journal transfers between matters for a selected trust bank account over a specified period, detailing each Journal's ID, matter information, transfer reason, and amount.	Date Range
Trust Payments Paid Cash Book	Lists trust payments paid within a specified period for a selected bank account, tracking outgoing trust funds to support reconciliation and compliance.	Date Range
Trust Account Receipts Cash Book	Lists trust payments received and trust bank deposits within a specified period for a selected bank account, tracking incoming trust funds to support reconciliation and compliance.	Date Range

Trust EOM Reports

Shows the following information:

Year: Shows the relevant year.
Month: Shows the number of months involved.
Reports: Shows the number of documents provided for each month.

Expand to show all the months and the corresponding reports for each month.

EOM reports display an "As At Date" or a "Date Range", depending on whether they reflect a cutoff date or a reporting period.

For an "As At Date" report, the selected date corresponds to the final day of the EOM period.
For a "Date Range" report, the selected date range reflects the relevant EOM period.

For example, the Separate Interest Bearing Accounts Listing of Accounts report is an "As At Date" General EOM report. If the report is generated as part of the EOM procedure for May 2023, the relevant EOM period runs from 1 May to 31 May 2023 (based on your last EOM date setting). The "As At Date" shown in the report — accessed via "View Previous Trust EOMs" — would correspond to the final day of that period, which is 31 May 2023.
