Learn how to streamline your workflow for efficient document management in LEAP by exporting documents from the Correspondence List to a local folder.

Export a Document

Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Find and select the document(s) from the Correspondence List that you wish to export.

Click to edit heading

To export multiple documents, hold Ctrl and select them.
To export all documents in the list, hold Ctrl + A.
You can export up to 100 documents at once.

Right-click the document(s) and select Export.
Browse to the folder location you want the document(s) exported to and select it.
Select Same as creation date and time or Current date and time.

If the Creation date and time of exported files option does not appear, hold Alt and click OK.

LEAP does not offer an option to export an entire matter. If your matter contains a large number of documents, we recommend grouping them into folders of up to 100 documents each. Then, right-click each folder and select 'Export' to save it to your local workstation.

You cannot create or export directly to a .zip file. To compress exported folders, right-click each one and select 'Compress to...' > 'ZIP file'.

This process is useful for exporting documents from LEAP to your local system. Once exported, you may then transfer or share the files with third parties.

Export a Folder

Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Find and select the folder from the Correspondence List that you wish to export.

To export multiple folders, hold Ctrl and select them.

Right-click the folder and then select Export Folder.
Browse to the folder location you want the document(s) exported to and select it.
The Document Export Options will appear.

Select Same as creation date and time or Current date and time.
Click OK.

Export a Document

Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Select the document from the Correspondence List by clicking the checkbox to the left of it.

To export multiple documents, hold Ctrl and select them.
To export all documents in the list, select the checkbox in the top left column to select all.
You can export up to 100 documents at once.

Right-click the document and then select Export Document.

Export a Folder

Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Find and select the folder from the Correspondence List that you wish to export.
Right-click the folder and then select Export.

The Document Export Options will appear.
Select whether you would like the Creation date and time of exported files to be either:
- Same as creation date and time of documents
- Current date and time
Click OK.
Browse to the folder location you want the folder(s) exported to and select it.
Click Save.

Please note it is not possible to export documents directly to any third-party applications. Documents must be first exported to your local PC and then manually uploaded to the required application/software.
