Users may see the following error message when trying to assign an appointment to a matter in LEAP.

This error message occurs when you have the wrong Microsoft Outlook profile loaded. You can only assign appointments to matters in data files that have Enhanced Calendaring enabled if your LEAP user account is linked to your Microsoft 365 account.

1. (Admin) Ensure your firm is linked to Microsoft 365:
Check that your firm has linked its Microsoft 365 account to LEAP.

2. (Admin) Confirm your LEAP user account is enabled for MS365 Enhanced Calendaring:
Ensure that your LEAP user account is enabled for MS365 Enhanced Calendaring in LEAP Settings > Integrations > Email Accounts.

3. Check the Microsoft Outlook default email account:
Microsoft 365 Enhanced Calendaring requires you to use the default Outlook profile and default data file to match your email account in LEAP. 

To Verify Email and Data File Account Settings:

• Open Outlook and go to File > Info > Click on Account Settings > Account Settings. 
• This will launch the Account Settings window. Verify that email address in both the Email tab and the Data Files tab is the same one you use to sign into LEAP. Ensure that the email address has a tick next to it.

4. (Admin) Revoke and Re-link Microsoft 365 Enhanced Calendaring
Revoke Microsoft 365 Enhanced Calendaring from LEAP Desktop and re-link it to see if that resolves the issue.

Your Microsoft 365 account must be the default email account and data store in your Outlook profile.

The resolution for this error is to ensure that both your LEAP account and Microsoft Outlook profile are properly configured.
