Combined Matter Ledger with Balances Report

Location: LEAP Menu > Reports  > General Account > Combined Matter Ledger with Balances

Purpose: Provides a centralized point to download combined general account and trust ledgers for selected matters, with an option to include or exclude archived matters. The ledger provided by this report combines a matter's General Account Ledger (Receivables Ledger) and Trust Accounts Ledger as of a specific date, offering a snapshot of the matter's financial health.

To utilize the report, follow below steps:
  1. Set the At Date and choose to include or exclude Archived Matters. Click on View to generate a Matter List.
  2. Further narrow down the list by typing in the Search box located at the top right corner and choose to show how many matters per page. 
  3. By default, the list is sorted by matter number. Users can instead sort the list by other fields, in either ascending or descending order, by clicking on the sorting icon next to the respective field.
  4. Locate your desired matter and click the download icon   to download the matter's Combined Matter Ledger with Balances. 

Report Filters:

At DateThe date the report is run at. 
Include Archived MattersInclude or exclude archived matters from the Matter List. 

Matter List:

NOTE: The list is aimed at providing you with a quick overview of all matters, allowing you to easily identify and locate the desired matters before viewing or downloading their Combined Matter Ledgers. 

Matter No.The matter number.
TypeThe matter type.
Debtor The name of the debtor on the matter.
ResponsibleThe Person Responsible on the matter. 
Acting The Person Acting on the matter. 
Status The matter status. 

Combined Matter Ledger with Balances for each matter: 

DateThe transaction date.
Reference The transaction number.
DetailsRefers to the reason or memo entered for the transaction, based on the input provided in the transaction window.
Operating Account 
  • Debit: The transaction's debit amount.
  • Rtnr./Credit: The transaction's credit amount.
  • Balance: The resulting balance after the transaction.
Trust Account 
  • Withdrawal: The withdrawal amount. 
  • Deposit: The deposited amount. 
  • Balance: The resulting balance after the transaction.
