Xero has advised of changes to its user permission requirements that will take effect on Monday, 29 June 2026. These changes are being implemented by XERO and are not the result of any changes made by LEAP.
Summary of Changes
Under Xero's updated permission model, users assigned a Standard role must also have the Reports permission enabled to access manual journals(including LEAP Invoice Journals). Users assigned an Advisor role will not be affected by this change.
Action Required
Xero has advised that users assigned the Standard role are expected to have the Reports permission enabled by default. If journal data cannot be accessed after 29 June 2026, firms should verify that this permission remains enabled for the affected user.
To enable the required permission in Xero, navigate to Settings > Users > Select User > Standard Role > Enable "View and Run Reports"
