If you are unable to open a particular precedent, and see any of these messages:

LEAP cannot apply firm's Letter format to this Precedent. You can apply the Document Type manually within Word. ApplyContainer() routine failed - The BODY bookmark does not exist within the precedent.
LEAP cannot apply firm's Tax Invoice format to this Precedent. You can apply the Document Type manually within Word. ApplyContainer() routine failed - The Based On style name does not exist or is of an incorrect type.
LEAP cannot apply firm's (Document) format to this Precedent. You can apply the Document Type manually within Word. ApplyContainer() routine failed - The BODY bookmark does not exist within the document type.

Resolution: Change the Document Type.

To change a precedent's Document Type, right-click the precedent and select Change > Document Type.

You can set the New Document Type to 'None' .
