How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Matters & Clients > Real Estate > Matters Due for Closing

Purpose: Provides an overview of Real Estate matters approaching closing date by listing active Real Estate matters with a Closing Date within the specified date range, with options to filter by matter type and staff.

Report Criteria: To be included in this report, a matter must meet the following conditions:

1. A Closing Date must be entered under the 'Calendar & Tasks' tab of the matter.
2. The matter's status must not be 'Complete', 'Not Proceeding', or 'Archived'.

Report Filters:

Date Range	Displays Real Estate matters with unconfirmed Closing Date within the selected date range.
Staff	Includes three filters: Include Inactive Staff: Provides an option to include or exclude inactive staff in the 'Staff Responsible' and 'Staff Acting' lists for selection. NOTE: An inactive staff member is a staff member whose 'Current Staff' status has been toggled off under the Staff- Application Settings. Staff Responsible: Filters results to include only matters where any of the selected staff members is assigned as the 'Person Responsible'. Staff Acting: Filters results to include only matters where any of the selected staff members is assigned as the 'Person Acting'.
Matter Type	Filters results to include only matters with the selected type(s).
Display	Includes two display options: Group By: Allows users to group the list by: None: No grouping is applied. Matter Type Staff Acting Staff Responsible Expand Row Groups: Only active when the 'Group By' option is not 'None'. No: When set to 'No', the grouped rows remain collapsed, not showing the matter's Staff Responsible or Staff Acting. Yes: When set to 'Yes', all grouped rows are expanded, further showing the matter's Staff Responsible and Staff Acting.

Report Filters:

Matter No.	The matter number.
Client	The client on the matter.
Property Address	The property address entered in the 'Property' card of the matter table.
Resp.	The matter's Person Responsible,
Act.	The matter's Person Acting.
	NOTE: 'Resp.' and 'Act.' columns are only available when Expand Row Groups is set to Yes.
Closing Date	The Closing Date entered under the 'Calendar & Tasks' tab of the matter.
